Maintaining Your Metallic Epoxy Floor
Maintaining your metallic epoxy floor is simple and easy. Conventional flooring systems can require labor-intensive maintenance routines and expensive cleaning products to keep them functioning correctly and looking clean. On the other hand, metallic epoxy floors are remarkably low-maintenance! To maintain your metallic epoxy, sweep or dust mop daily, wet mop weekly with a pH-neutral cleaner, and spot mop as needed. Dust mops are preferable, especially for larger spaces, as they can save more time than traditional sweeping. With this quick and easy maintenance regimen, you can keep your metallic epoxy floor clean and beautiful for decades!
The Installation Process
Installing a metallic epoxy floor begins with our crew cleaning and inspecting your floor for damage, such as cracks or chipping. If any damage is found, we’ll repair it before continuing. Once the repairs are finished, we can move on to surface prep. Surface prep involves using a floor grinder fitted with a diamond grinding wheel to remove minor blemishes and ensure proper adhesion. Next, we’ll mix the epoxy and the metallic pigments for application. We’ll pour the metallic epoxy mixture and create any designs you’ve requested. Once the epoxy is in place, it’ll need 72 hours to completely cure.
